BATL Axe Throwing is thrilled to be hosting the very first BATL Open tournament in our LoSo location in beautiful Charlotte, NC!
This cash tournament is open to ANYONE regardless of skill level, and it features a progressive prize pool for all events. The more people that join, the bigger the prizes get! We’ve gone out of our way to give players a jam-packed weekend filled with fun games and competition, and we hope you can come to make it out!

Here’s the rundown of everything we’re doing during the event:
Skills (Friday, September 30th)
Big Axe Black Jack
Black Jack is where your goal is to score 21 points on the nose! Only instead, we’re adding the twist of having to use your big axe instead of a hatchet. There are a variety of ways to hit your 21: you could get 3 clutches, you can get 4 bullseyes and a 1, you could do straight 3s, or do a different mix of shots. The only thing is…drops will cost you -4 points. If you hit that 21 early, you still need to complete your 10 throws without dropping OR scoring over 21 and busting.

Yahtzee
This Yahtzee event is OPEN TEAM! Grab your friends and form up a team of 4 throwers! The goal of Yahtzee is to hit every shot on the target as a team. If everyone hits their shots on the first try, you get maximum points towards your score. For every person that misses, your points for the round are less. Everyone has three tries to hit their shots, or else no points are earned for the round. Your team has to all together hit the 1, 3, 5, outside the target, straight (which is someone throwing at the 1, another at 3, 5, and the clutch), and then clutch to finish off. The team with the most points at the end wins.
Up to $500 in prizes is up for grabs for Yahtzee. See our website for specific payout.
Under 65 Tournament (Saturday, October 1st)
This tournament is perfect for amateur throwers who want to compete against others within their skill level. If your last league season average was under a 65, you qualify to play!
This tournament bracket is being run under the IATF STANDARD ruleset. For every additional 16 people that sign up, the prize pool will increase…up to $2,500 if we reach 64 throwers!

Open Premier Tournament
This tournament is open to ANYONE, and it’ll feature the largest payout of the weekend! This bracket will be played in the IATF PREMIER ruleset, and the payout could grow as large as $4,000! The more people that join, the bigger the payout, and even more people get paid out (up to the Top 8 throwers)!

So What Are You Waiting For?
Advanced low-price ticket sales end on Oct 28th at 11:59 PM. While tickets will still be available at the door, they will be a little more. We’re currently looking for more players so we can increase cash prize payouts for all events! Here’s what one of our local throwers had to say about it:
