Spoke, the newspaper of Conestoga College’s journalism program, recently visited the Kitchener location of the Backyard Axe Throwing League. Marissa Cuddy came on behalf of the paper to chat with Nick LaFace, General Manager of BATL Kitchener, to get an idea of what it is we do there.
They touched on our privately run axe throwing events and our new public hourly walk-ins, but the real focus was on our leagues. Our Kitchener leagues have been running since early 2015, and have drummed up a considerable following in the Kitchener-Waterloo region, with no signs of slowing down.
Our axe throwing leagues are a great place to compete in a safe, fun, and open environment where all are welcome and a strong sense of community is shared by all those involved. Check out the full article from Spoke here!
