At the Backyard Axe Throwing League, we’ve been teaching people how to throw an axe since 2006, and with 10 years of experience our coaches are renowned as the most skilled and safety conscious in North America.
Just like with so many other sports, the trick to becoming an excellent axe thrower is all about consistency, which is achieved by using the same hand position, release point and throwing distance that’s right for you.
Don’t let the technical aspects scare you away however; we get plenty of feedback every week from people that had a tonne of fun learning how to throw an axe for the first time. At BATL we’ve taught people from all walks of life how to throw an axe – including the elderly, visually impaired and physically disabled.
