“The modern-day version of the sport derives from an ancient Scandinavian pastime when loggers threw their axes at the stumps of fallen trees.” That’s the word according to global men’s lifestyle magazine The Red Bulletin, who ranks the Backyard Axe Throwing League amongst the top destinations in the world to awaken your inner child.
Every BATL venue across Canada offers many ways to get involved with our sport – from private axe throwing events for groups of 6 or more, which last 2 – 2.5 hours and include private coaching and a round robin tournament followed by a playoff – to our weekly leagues and public walk in axe throwing sessions. No matter how you choose to get involved, you’re sure to awaken your inner child! Check out the full list of top playgrounds for grownups on The Red Bulletin here.
