Axe Throwing For A Good Cause

General League

This past February, the Backyard Axe Throwing League took part in and hosted the inaugural National Axe Throwing Championship (NATC) put on by the National Axe Throwing Federation.  The NATC had NATF-sanctioned axe throwing venues from across North America compete in a day long competition, with all proceeds going to The Red Door Family Shelter.  The tally is in, and the fun weekend of axe throwing raised over $4000 in support of the charity – which is truly amazing.

The Red Door Family Shelter is a non-profit that features a dedicated and caring staff team addresses the particular needs of families in crisis. The services provided reduce the impact of homelessness by providing safe and supportive shelter to hundreds of families each year. It helps keep families together by providing services for the whole family, and assists each family in establishing a stable life beyond the shelter.

Thanks again to all of our staff, participants, and of course our sponsors – who helped put on such a truly amazing event.
