Our leagues are the perfect excuse to get together with friends, make some new ones, and trash talk each other a little bit while competing. With coaches available to give you tips, we have a league that’s perfect for every experience level.

Our Ottawa location has a fully licensed bar and boasts a great selections of craft beer, cooler, wine and spirits. Milano’s Pizza, our food partner, has you covered.The best way to get food while throwing is to pre-order before your event. Food is delivered right to your lanes. To pre-order, simply send us an email with what you want at book@batlgrounds.com or give us a call 1.844.228.5550 and we’ll get you hooked up.Check out our food menus below (if there is no menu it means there is no food service at that location). Please pre-order at least 1 day in advance.
Want to bring in your own food? No problem! No plating fee!

BATL, The Backyard Axe Throwing League was founded in the backyard of CEO Matt Wilson in 2006. What started as Matt Wilson’s unique passion sparked by a camping trip soon spread through word of mouth in Toronto, and today over 1 million people have enjoyed the thrill of throwing axes at one of our locations, including our Ottawa venue near the Minto Skating Centre.
